Layers underneath wall papers are uncovered exposing pastel coloured paintings of former residents presenting the room in its very own charm. Memories are stirred and invite to pause. The room accommodates time. Being flexible material, reflective foil is attached to the locked doors, just like wall paper. Resembling old mansions this mirror radiates the ramshackle charm and appears precious among flaking off coatings.
The room installation „lens" creates a new field of perception by its pictorial spaces. It is simultaneously object and carrier of images. After being blown into shape, cut and polished, a layer of lustre has been applied by paintbrush and burned in. The colour of the lustre lends an uneasy atmosphere to the object as well as to the images it creates.
